Yee O. Lam, Esq.

Yee Lam is a part­ner in the Los Ange­les office of Bri­an P. Kamel & Asso­ciates, where she has prac­ticed since 2006. Ms. Lam attend­ed the Uni­ver­si­ty of Texas, where she earned a B.A. degree in 1997. There­after, Ms. Lam grad­u­at­ed cum laude from Pep­per­dine Uni­ver­si­ty School of Law in 2002. Pri­or to work­ing at Bri­an P. Kamel & Asso­ciates, Ms. Lam was an asso­ciate at a down­town law firm spe­cial­iz­ing in busi­ness lit­i­ga­tion mat­ters. Ms. Lam’s cur­rent prac­tice includes den­tal and med­ical mal­prac­tice lit­i­ga­tion, pro­fes­sion­al licen­sure defense in cas­es brought by the Attor­ney Gen­er­al, and employ­ment lit­i­ga­tion. Her expe­ri­ence in the defense of health care prac­ti­tion­ers range from wrong­ful death cas­es aris­ing from alleged neg­li­gent pro­ce­dures to cas­es involv­ing lack of informed con­sent where the pro­ce­dure per­formed is not con­sis­tent with the patient’s exe­cut­ed informed con­sent. Ms. Lam’s expe­ri­ence in employ­ment lit­i­ga­tion involves exten­sive expe­ri­ence in the area of wrong­ful ter­mi­na­tion, dis­crim­i­na­tion, hos­tile work envi­ron­ment, and wage and hour claims. She is also in the day to day han­dling of non­prof­it men­tal health care facil­i­ties where she has helped mon­i­tor the day to day oper­a­tions in the area of risk man­age­ment. In 2008, Ms. Lam was named a Super Lawyers—Rising Star. Ms. Lam is admit­ted to prac­tice before the Cal­i­for­nia State Bar. She is also flu­ent in Man­darin Chi­nese and Can­tonese Chi­nese. She enjoys the lux­u­ry of com­mu­ni­cat­ing with the large Chi­nese clien­tele of Bri­an P. Kamel & Asso­ciates in both Man­darin and Cantonese.
