Yee Lam is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Brian P. Kamel & Associates, where she has practiced since 2006. Ms. Lam attended the University of Texas, where she earned a B.A. degree in 1997. Thereafter, Ms. Lam graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2002. Prior to working at Brian P. Kamel & Associates, Ms. Lam was an associate at a downtown law firm specializing in business litigation matters. Ms. Lam’s current practice includes dental and medical malpractice litigation, professional licensure defense in cases brought by the Attorney General, and employment litigation. Her experience in the defense of health care practitioners range from wrongful death cases arising from alleged negligent procedures to cases involving lack of informed consent where the procedure performed is not consistent with the patient’s executed informed consent. Ms. Lam’s experience in employment litigation involves extensive experience in the area of wrongful termination, discrimination, hostile work environment, and wage and hour claims. She is also in the day to day handling of nonprofit mental health care facilities where she has helped monitor the day to day operations in the area of risk management. In 2008, Ms. Lam was named a Super Lawyers—Rising Star. Ms. Lam is admitted to practice before the California State Bar. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese. She enjoys the luxury of communicating with the large Chinese clientele of Brian P. Kamel & Associates in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
